First Visit Information

Your first visit at Body Shop Chiropractic & Rehab is focused on understanding how your body moves, where dysfunction exists, and what may be contributing to your pain or limitations. We look at the body as an interconnected mechanical system, because pain is often the result of compensation patterns and movement dysfunction that develop over time.

During your evaluation, we’ll assess:

  • What’s moving well

  • What isn’t moving well

  • Where the body may be compensating

  • How your movement patterns relate to your symptoms

Bodies are complicated systems, and our goal is to identify the underlying mechanical issues contributing to the problem rather than simply chasing symptoms from one area to the next.

Once we’ve completed a detailed assessment, we’ll explain what we’re seeing and what we believe is contributing to your condition. We believe informed patients improve more quickly, so we want you to leave your first visit with a clear understanding of what’s going on, what the treatment plan may involve, and what we need from you moving forward.

Care typically includes a combination of:

  • Chiropractic care

  • Dry needling or targeted soft tissue therapy

  • Rehabilitative exercise and movement-based treatment

Every treatment plan is individualized based on your movement patterns, goals, and the demands you place on your body in work, sport, and daily life.

FAQs

Should I wear anything in particular?

Yes. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely during your evaluation and treatment. If you are seeking care for a specific area, such as your knee, shoulder, or hip, please wear or bring clothing that allows easy access to that region.

How Long are appointments?

Most follow-up appointments are 25 minutes. Initial visits are scheduled for 50 minutes to allow time for a thorough assessment, discussion of your goals, and development of a personalized treatment plan.

Do you take insurance?

Body Shop Chiropractic operates as a direct-pay clinic and is not currently in-network with insurance providers. This model allows us to spend more time with each patient and provide individualized care without insurance restricting treatment decisions. Our focus is on delivering the care you need, not the care an insurance company approves.
